My brothers are totally helpless when it comes to gift ideas. Being the older sister, and only sister, they tend to turn to me for gift ideas. Over the years I have helped them figure out what gifts to give family and friends for Christmas, birthdays and just about everything else. It all started because one year for Mothers Day I suggested we pool our resources to give Mom a really nice perfume gift set from all of us. She loved it, and my brothers have been turning to me for ideas ever since. One year they even tricked me into picking my own gift, a perfume gift set. Seeing as Christmas time is creeping up I can expect my brothers to drop in or call me looking for help. Good thing I am having my sister in law and my other two brother’s girlfriends over for a girl’s night out this weekend.

It has become a bit of a family joke that if you want something from the boys you don’t tell them, you tell me. So for the last few years we get together the first week of December. This way the ladies in the family have a wonderful fun night, and the boys get some really good gift ideas. Usually my sister in law arrives with a shopping list of gift ideas. This year it is going to be a little different. My brand new little nephew has been keeping all her attention, babies tend to do that. She has not had the time to shop around and create a list. Also for a change both of my brother’s girlfriends are new this year. This is going to be their first Christmas together. So instead of going out to dinner we are having it at my place.

We are going to order in, and shop on the internet for gift ideas. On the top of my list will be a perfume gift set.
