Add Botanicals to Your Skin Care Products |

Sometimes I use my garden to augment my skin care products. I've been reading that some plants and herbs are really good topically when applied to the skin, so all this month, I've been taking advantage of the bounty in my garden. First, I am adding a little grapefruit juice to my moisturizer. Grapefruit juice has a huge amount of Vitamin C, and I have a free supply of it. Free is always good. Then I started exfoliating with ground rosemary and olive oil. I grind the two together and scrub my face with it after I let it sit on my skin for about 10 minutes. My skin feels so good when I'm done. Then I am using aloe vera in my skin care products. I have that in abundance in the front yard. Finding botanicals at home for skin care products can't be beat because you know that they are fresh and organic. Besides using natural skin care products from the garden, there are other products that help, too, like cornmeal and oatmeal for exfoliating and other oils for hydrating. |
