Hair care will always be important to me regardless of what kind of hair style I have. For me the most important thing when it comes to my hair is that it remains healthy. Hence I use the kind of hair care products that are of benefit to my hair type. I also eat well and take health supplements.

I love to try new fragrance cosmetics scents. I have certain favorites that I use all the time, but sometimes I like to change things up and use something new. There are just some things that I swear by with regards to my daily hygiene, and one of those things are the skin care products that I love to use on a daily basis; I would not trade out the skin care products that I use for anything else, and I am even really picky about the ones that I use. But can you really blame me, I have been married to a skin care products professional and day spa owner for better than ten years, and she has really educated me very well during that time; and my skin and I thank her for her efforts. Indeed, I have learned much about what ingredients to look for in the skin care products that I choose to buy when I am shopping online for them. Speaking of which, that is how I am able to actually afford to use the skin care products that I do every day – I would never be able to tender the costly retail price tags, so instead I choose to shop online, where I can find the skin care products I want at the prices I can afford.

I went to lunch the other day with a friend I hadn’t seen in awhile and was so surprised to see her with much shorter hair. She had the most stylish hairstyle and it looked terrific on her. The thing is, she used to be in the salon business and cuts her own hair. Her hairstyle is chin length with different layers of hair framing her head. That along with her beautiful hair color really makes her look fantastic. She has told me before; that she gets all of her hair care products online and still looks for recent trends in hairstyles online too. It is amazing what a new hairstyle will do for your overall appearance. It boosts your confidence as well. She is looking for another job, so she wanted a smarter and more chic look. She has succeeded big time. I asked her advice for my hairstyle and what hair care products I should use. She told me she will gladly cut my hair when the time came and show me the products she recommends for me. I think she could make nice money on the side cutting hair. I Found the Perfume Gift Set on My Doorstep

Yesterday when I arrived home from work, I found a perfume gift set sitting on my doorstep. I looked around and didn’t see anyone, so I picked up the box and noticed that it wasn’t wrapped, but it had my name written on a piece of paper that was taped to the packaging. If it hadn’t been for the fact that my name was on the packaging, I would have been convinced that the perfume gift set had been left on my doorstep by mistake. The only thing was there was no hint as to who had sent it to me. I found that to be completely weird.

The interesting thing is that the perfume gift set happened to be the exact one that I’d been looking at online the week before. I’d almost ordered it, but the phone rang and I never got back to place the order, so either that was highly coincidental or the perfume gift set was from someone I knew. Sure enough, I had a message on my machine when I got inside from mom that she’d been by and left the perfume for me as a little surprise. Not that long ago, my sister and I were at the mall and she was looking at skin care products. I noticed that she was sampling several different products, and she commented on not knowing which one of the skin care products to actually purchase since she knew she couldn't afford them all. I was a little surprised that my sister was actually willing to pay full retail price for any of the skin care products and only assumed that she knew that she could get them for a much better price online. I actually hesitated to say anything to my sister about it, because she is one of those types who really hate to think that anyone is trying to tell her something, instead she likes to think that everything is her idea. She didn't use to be like that, but she is now, so I knew if I wanted to tell her about the skin care products I'd have to tread carefully.

I asked her if she really wanted all of the skin care products that she was looking at, and she said that she really did. She said she didn't need them all, but that it would be nice to have the choice, but she really couldn't afford to buy all of the skin care products at that particular time. I asked her if she'd want to get them all if she could afford them all, and she looked at me with a look as though she thought I should know that was obvious. I figured if she was interested she'd ask, and if she wasn't, then it would remain my little secret. There are so many things that I have been looking at online to get for my darling mother for this forthcoming Mother’s Day, and while I know that have tons of time to shop, the more time the better if you ask me. I have to run out the door in about two hours because my mom just called me up and told me that for my birthday – which is today, where I have turned the big three zero – that she booked an appointment for me to get a new fashion hairstyle at the salon that I love. I have been putting off getting a new fashion hairstyle for a few months, ever since I got bad haircut and was scared to get a new fashion hairstyle; and so I could let my hair grow back out. But the stylist is really good that she booked me for, so I am pretty confident that my fashion hairstyle will really come out awesome this time around. I am sure they will try to sell me all sorts of fashion hairstyle products while I am there, which I won’t buy at the salon for their crazy prices. Instead, I will take mental notes while I am there about the products I want, and after I get back home, I will order them online for a lot less money than the costly retail price tag offerings.

I realized that my step-granddaughter Alisha could do with new skin care products for the body when she asked me to feel her leg after she got out of the shower and told me she was out of body lotion. Skin Care Products for a Snow Bird

My brother lives up in Pacific Northwest. He is going down to Tucson at the beginning of March with a friend to stay at that friend’s grandparent’s desert retreat. His friend is originally from Pennsylvania where snowfall during the winter is less of a what if and more of a how much. They grew up shoveling the sidewalks. Now in a more rainy part of the country he is keeping the tradition of visiting his grandparent’s in the desert. My brother is lucky enough to be going along for the journey having a free ticket after giving up his seat for a later flight after Christmas. I’ve always wanted this opportunity. My brother simply had our mom pick him up and bring him back to the airport five hours later after giving up his seat. The airlines then awarded him a free ticket.

Being Tucson is not cold this time of the year, I reminded him to bring along skin care products. He always gets chapped lips so I know skin care products will be helpful. He also just went with the buzz cut hairstyle so the Southwestern sun should be no problem.

Fragrance Cosmetics And Stinky Cities

I wear fragrance cosmetics every day not because I sweat profusely but out of personal pride. I love smelling good because it makes me feel great. However I was reading an article today that reminded me of just how easy it was to get sweaty when I lived in Athens, Greece. At that time in my life I had to be very careful to apply deodorant and fragrance cosmetics because I knew that if I did not I would start stinking fairly quickly.
The article I read was about which US cities were the worst for body odor based on information about temperature, stress levels and nicotine consumption which apparently contributes. Most of the smelliest cities were in southern states like Arizona, Texas and Louisiana where the summers are very dry and sticky. I figured when I read that article must be one of the smellier cities on earth because of the temperatures and the fact that most Athenians love to smoke cigarettes.
Now I live in a suburban area of the Maryland and things can get pretty humid when summer comes along. However I work from home so there is no commute and I am in the air conditioning. Hence I don’t sweat unless I go outside and work in my garden. I imagine that if I lived in New Orleans or even inner city Baltimore I would definitely have to be extra vigilant about fragrance cosmetics the way I was when I lived in Athens. I hate to think what the sweatiest cities in the world would smell like without fragrance cosmetics. Cities like Athens, Marrakesh and Cairo must have really reeked before fragrance cosmetics became popular.

My gorgeous wife owns and operates her own day spa and has been a skin care products professional for years upon years – which is really lucky for me because I get to take advantage of all of her knowledge of skin care products and really use them on myself. Life is Easier with a Short Hairstyle

My life can be marked with phases of long and short hairstyles. I never went as far as to have hair flowing down to my shoulders being it is extremely thick and at length curly but it has gotten pretty insane. At a certain point, when the hair begins hiding my ears the top puffs up and resembles a flat top. This hairstyle is great for laughs but not the best when trying to look good. Recently I went back to a near buzz haircut. It is short enough where I can jump in the shower, get dressed and head out without having to do anything else. It makes waking up a few minutes later in the morning much easier.

Being someone who loves to silence the alarm clock a solid two times before rolling out of bed, the less time it takes to get ready in the morning the more time I have to eat. This is one of the greatest advantages in my mind to a short hairstyle. Afternoon temps are getting into 80 over here in LA so it is cooler as well.

Friends' Gift Baskets Include a Perfume Gift Set

One of my favorite gifts to both give and receive throughout the year is perfume gift set baskets. Enjoying Sisterhood and New Hair Styles

Spring isn't that far off, so my sisters and I decided we would schedule time at the hair stylists together yesterday to get new hair styles that would be easy to manage in the windy and warmer weather to come. We all have busy lives, so getting together at the same salon was a good way for us to get caught up on personal care and pampering while we caught up on each other's life. We text each other and talk over the phone, but there's nothing like getting together in person once in a while. Our spring weather can be very windy and warm, even borderline hot, so none of us was sad to see our long winter hair styles get cut off and leave sporting cute short hair styles.

We were all more than satisfied with the new hair styles we got and once our manicures and pedicures were done, the three of us went to lunch and discussed the hair care products that our stylists recommended for the long hot summer not that far off here in Phoenix. I jotted down the products and promised my sisters I'd try to find these products online to save ourselves some money. We also decided that we'd try to schedule our trips to the salon together again because it was so much fun to get together at the beauty shop and have lunch together.

Hair Care While Traveling

Don't let a trip out of town distract from the daily routine of hair care. I have learned the hard way after spending long weekends at the Dunes in the dust and sand. I usually brush my hair at night before retiring for the evening. I failed to do so one time and let me tell you it took only one time, my hair was a knotted mess the following morning. I will never to do that again! With long locks my hair care absolutely includes brushing it out at night before going to bed!

When we are traveling I always wash and condition my hair before we even leave town. I bring all my hair care products with me in small containers for convenience. When at home I wash my hair every other day and really try to keep up with that when traveling. I spend a lot of time outdoors when on vacations out of town so my hair takes a beating. I will more times than not tie it back into a pony tail to keep it out of the way.

Hair care while traveling need not be an overwhelming task. I know from experience though that with kids it can be! Especially when my eight year daughter had long hair too. She just didn't like the brushing out process. Finally, there was an ultimatum, brush it or cut it! We got some detangler that she could spray on herself. As a big girl she began to do her own hair care. She really wanted to keep the long hair!

I'm Constantly Using Skin Care Products in the Winter Months

This morning I woke up to find that the ground was covered in another blanket of white. I thought for sure that we'd seen the last of the snow, but obviously that is not the case. Even though the snow is beautiful, this has been one of the harshest winters I've seen in a while, and the amount of skin care products I've been using to keep my skin from drying out is unbelievable. I've noticed over the past few years that my skin has started changing. Mom told me that when I turned 40 that I'd probably start having to consider using skin care products, but I dismissed the thought of using skin care products and figured that I'd cross that bridge when I came to it.

Unfortunately, that bridge came much faster than I anticipated, and I started noticing slight changes in my skin even though I hadn't changed the makeup I was using, nor had I been using different soaps. I knew better than to ask mom about it, because I knew she'd say that I needed to start using skin care products, so the next time I visited, I looked in her cabinet to see what kind of skin care products she has and decided to follow suit and order the same thing.

I decided rather than going to the department store, that I'd look online to see if I could find the skin care products that mom uses, since I was fairly certain the price would be better.
